CANCELLATION POLICY
We appreciate that clients can be late if something unexpected comes up or if traffic is bad etc but in order for us to give all our clients the time needed to carry out treatments to a high standard we would ask that you respect your appointment time and if you are going to be late please notify us, we can not guarantee that your full treatment will be carried out and you might have to reschedule for another day and time. For cancellations we ask that you give us 24hrs notice if you need to change, amend or cancel an appointment. If we do not receive the required notice a 50% charge will be applied and we will have to ask for a deposit for any future appointments. If you do not show up for your appointment a 100% charge will apply and a deposit will have to be taken for any future appoints with us.
MINOR CLIENT POLICY
At Wax Addicts, we follow our insurance guidelines strictly when treating minor clients to give the safest treatment possible. Please see full details below: – Minor clients are between 12-18 years old. – We are not permitted to carry out any treatments on clients under the age of 12 years old. – Over 12 years old, minor clients need a thorough consultation and patch test with a parent/guardian present. – Minor clients from the age of 12-16 are permitted to have the following treatments carried out with consent of a parent/guardian: – Facial Waxing & Threading of the Brow, Lip, Chin, Sides of face using Hot wax only. – Underarm was using hot wax. – Basic bikini wax using hot wax. – Leg waxing using strip wax. – Arm waxing using strip wax. – Spray Tans after an in-depth consultation with client and parent/guardian. Minor Clients from the age of 16-18 years old are permitted to having the above treatments carried out with the addition of high line and Californian bikini wax and HD Brows if they wish. Consent is still requested. – Minor clients are not permitted to have any intimate bikini wax treatments carried out (Brazilian, Ext Brazilian and Hollywood). Intimate bikini waxes and LVL Lash Lifts are only permitted to be carried out on clients over the age of 18yrs. – A Parent/guardian must be present on the premises throughout a minor clients treatment from the age of 12-16 yrs old. Over 16’s can be unsupervised once the initial treatment has the consent of a parent/guardian. – Please note that minor clients skin be more sensitive and reactive when waxing or threading due to the delicate nature of their young skin. With this in mind, at Wax Addicts we only use the highest quality waxes, pre and post waxing products for best results. We also ask that a parent/guardian assist the minor client with their aftercare advice post treatment to avoid any adverse reactions.
CLIENT HYGIENE POLICIES
Before your appointment please ensure the chosen area for waxing is hygienically prepared especially if you are having an advanced Bikini wax treatment such as Brazilian, Ext Brazilian or Hollywood. This will avoid any infection risk and of course out of respect for your therapist. We will provide sanitation products in the treatment room for you. We have high hygiene standards here in Wax Addicts and we NEVER DOUBLE DIP our spatulas for any waxing treatment. This ensures all our waxes are 100% hygienic for each client.
COVID19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Health & Safety Policies & Procedures for COVID-19 Pandemic
It is acknowledged that all services within the Professional Beauty Industry carry some risk in this viral environment due to the nature of the services provided and the inability to maintain social distancing. With that said, licensed professionals have been trained to mitigate these risks significantly through the use of proper infection control standards. Staff have recently completed a BARBACIDE course. This course provides training and understanding of proper sanitisation and disinfection practices and procedures consistent with the current highest industry standards. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Masks: Masks will be worn for all treatments as a safety measure when providing a service. These masks are disposable and will be disposed of after every treatment. Face Shield: We do not use face shields anymore as new research shows that they are inadequate and masks are better protection. We will wear both if we have a high risk client or if a client requests both for their peace of mind. We will make an exception for clients with hearing difficulties and wear the shield on its own to ensure the client can lip read and communicate with ease. All clients will have to wear masks on entering, during treatments and leaving the premises. Gloves: Gloves will be worn for all treatments. Gloves will be worn for only a single service and hands washed thoroughly after they are removed. Hand Hygiene: Proper hand hygiene is documented to be an essential action to reduce the spread of viral illness. It is recommended that these rules be more strictly enforced and acknowledged that hand washing is the preferred method of hand hygiene and it should be done as frequently as possible. Hand sanitizer: Sanitizer will be made available for all clients and staff, and required prior to a every service.
Please note that there is a €2 ppe charge added to appointments, this is to cover all the extra costs. We did not want to increase our treatment prices so we decided to add this charge instead and hopefully when prices for all the extra ppe and hygiene equipment comes down we can remove it.
Customer Interactions
The following recommendations reduce the number of patrons in the salon at a single time and limit interactions that could be of risk. Appointments: All services will be scheduled with adequate time in between appointments to properly clean and disinfect. There will only be two clients permitted in the waiting area at any one time. The client must attend their appointment alone Hand shaking/ hugging is not permitted Payments: Cashless payment systems are preferred, but not required. If Point of Sale (POS) equipment is used and a client must enter PIN, the equipment will be disinfected after each use. Signage: Signage will be posted that states services will not be offered to or given by anyone who is sick or exhibiting signs of illness. Clients will be asked prior to a service if they have been sick or exposed to someone who is sick. If so, services should be deferred for 14 days. Distancing: It is acknowledged that social distancing recommendations of 2 metres cannot be met in the actual service itself. However, the following distancing measures can be instituted to reduce risk: There will be no more than 4 people in the salon at any time (including staff) Waiting area chairs are spaced in such a manner to accommodate social distancing requirements
Disinfection
We always adhere to strict hygiene procedures. Standard Flat Rate Delivery €3.95
Our standard delivery service for Republic of Ireland is provided by An Post and takes takes 2-3 working days.
An Post deliveries take place from Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm. An Post do not deliver on a Saturday or Sunday. During Bank holiday periods please allow an extra day for delivery.
Returns
You can return products directly to Wax Addicts with your order number. Please check our opening hours.
*We are currently closed until further notice due to Covid-19. Please contact us with your preferred date & time, and we will arrange for a staff member to assist you with your return.
Items must be returned within the 28 day timeframe and be in a saleable condition.
Alternatively
Should you wish to return an item to us, for any reason, it is your responsibility to ensure the safe return of this by packaging the products adequately and using a reputable delivery service that insures you to the value of the goods and offers a recorded service. The cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility unless it has been received in damaged condition. Should this be the case, postage will be reimbursed upon return delivery of the goods.
